UberChic Beauty Collection 23 and Love & Marriage 04 Review including GIVEAWAY!

Press  Sample

Hey there!  Let me start off by saying today's post includes a giveaway!  Did that get your attention?  I was sent UberChic Beauty's Collection 23 and Love & Marriage 04 plate to review and a little mix up resulted in me receiving two of each...possibly because Brittany was just days away from her first baby (congratulations Brittany!!).  So Brittany's pregnancy brain is good for you guys since there's a giveaway for the extra plates at the end of this post.  I hope the new man in her life lets her keep designing plates because these latest ones are awesome!  They're really everything I love about UberChic plates.  The images are big enough for most people (17 x 21 mm) but designed so most of them work for those of us with smaller nails, the etching is wonderful and there's such a fun mix.  I really like the layered image options in these plates, even if I'm still not great at actually lining them up.  Keep reading to see all the details for my manis and to get to the Rafflecopter to enter to win the plates for yourself.

23-01

This mani was done by layering a couple of images but the outline image could absolutely be used on it's own.  I used 3 coats of Femme Fatale Glimmerbreath followed by stamping with Mundo de Unas Silver and Tequila.  I finished by adding dots of An Immortal Soul and a coat of HK Girl top coat.

My second mani was another layered one (that I also messed up a bit).  I love this basket weave image.  I started with Cirque Colors Spotted In Soho and then did the layered stamping in Mundo de Unas Chocolate then Black AND Caramel then Chocolate.

23-02

This one was 2 coats Milani White On The Spot or 3 coats OPI Goldeneye double stamped with Mundo de Unas Black and M Polish Guilded (pretty good match for Goldeneye...definitely the closest of the gold stamping polishes I own).

I wanted to use some of the new A England's I bought so I did a gradient with Katherine of Aragon and Catherine Howard and stamped with Esmaltes da Kelly Dolly.  It didn't photograph well but those fine lines stamped just fine!

23-03

I think this was my favourite mani with these plates, even if it was really simple.  I've seen quite a few great ones also using this image so I know I'm not the only one who loves it.  I used 2 coats of Tonic Polish Superstar followed by matte top coat and then did powder stamping (successfully for once!) with Born Pretty 41019-3.

And lastly for Collection 23, I did a base of Girly Bits Greyzed and Confused (though you can't really see it) with Born Pretty 39759-5 flakies, stamped with the negative space image with Mundo de Unas Black.  See why I like negative space so much? You get to use bases!

To start with the 4th instalment of the Love & Marriage series, I went very Valentine's Day-themed.  I used a very pink base color (Zoya Tia) and stamped the background bird print with Esmaltes da Kelly Flufi.  The rest was stamped with Mundo de Unas Black then White and topped with HK Girl.

This one looked better in my head than in turned out, thanks to my terrible choice of using a chunky glitter.  I used Girly Bits Sea You Next Fall and did some reverse stamping with Girly Bits Bronze Goddess filled with a glitterbomb I made at Indie Expot.  But the glitters are a bit too bit and I lost the hearts.  I should promise myself that I'll use this image again before Valentine's Day because I do really like the image a lot.
