Delush Polish Knight of Thrones Collection

Press  Sample

Hey there!  This evening I'm bringing you the brand new collection from Delush Polish - The Knight of Thrones Collection.  These polishes are inspired by the males of Game of Thrones, to complement the previous Dames of Thrones Collection, but don't let that trick you into thinking these are all masculine colors.  These are for all of us who love keeping our fingertips colourful.  It is a lovely fall collection that includes some darker colors, some cozy colors, a glitter that screams autumns to me as well as a couple of brighter shades.  Keep reading to see all my thoughts and find out which ones I'm head-over-heels for.

Inspired by Theon Greyjoy

This dark blue jelly is filled with circle and hex holographic glitter.  The jelly is so dark that when I first got it I thought it was black but it is definitely a navy blue.  The base is quite pigmented so it only needs two coats for full coverage but the glitter still shines through.  This is two coats plus two coats of top coat to smooth it out.

Inspired by Samwell Tarly

Doesn't this color remind you of a cozy, warm sweater, kind of like Samwell's warm personality.  Delush describes this is a taupe but I see it more as a rosy, dusty plum filled with copper microflakies.  From afar, it does look more taupe though.  It's a tough one to describe.  The formula, however, is easy.  I used two coats plus top coat but some nails were good at a single coat.

Inspired by Jon Snow

I love this blue holo so much.  The holo flakies really shine through and the addition of a subtle green shimmer sets it apart from other similar polishes.  The first coat seemed thin but the second coat covers it all up.  This is two coats plus top coat.

Inspired by Jamie Lannister

How perfect is this glitter polish for fall?  The base is a murky green jelly, which doesn't sound pretty, but the shimmer and gold and copper hex and circle flakies make this a winner.  The coverage is great for a jelly, maybe because of the gold shimmer, and the glitter spread easily.  This is two coats plus top coat to smooth it out.

Inspired by Petyr Baelish (Littlefinger)

This polish is similar in formula to King Of The Watch, in that it is a holo filled with holographic flakies but this one also has copper flakies to elevate its beauty.  They're subtle but you can see their presence in this macro.  This emerald green has great formula and good coverage.  This is two coats plus top coat.

Inspired by Tyrion Lannister

Master of Wine is inspired by everyone's favourite man from the GoT world, Tyrion Lannister.  How appropriate is its name?  I describe this is a near-duochrome with shimmer.  Its main color is a red-leaning purple but there's a strong blueish-green shimmery shift.  It's an interesting one!  It has a jelly-ish formula so I thought it would take a few coats but it only required two, though the second coat was a thick one.  The brushstrokes were not nearly this noticeable in real life.

Inspired by Joffrey Baratheon

I can't say enough good about this vampy red.  This blackened red has a shimmer that gives it a glowing, metallic appearance.  It's way more beautiful than Joffrey deserves.  This one is currently sitting on top of my Helmers so I can wear it again soon.  This is two coats plus top coat.

Inspired by Ramsay Bolton

Not gonna lie, as soon as I typed Ramsay Bolton's name there I got a gross chill.  Luckily this polish is way nicer than Ramsay.  This black holo seemed thin on the first coat but two coats covers everything right up.  As with almost all black holos, in order to get this much rainbow, the black actually appears more charcoal.  This is two coats plus top coat.

Overall I think this collection is fantastic.  Not only do I love the theme but I love that there are so many finishes.  My personal favourites are Poisoned Vine and Clash Of The Seas.  Do you have any favorites?
