The Digit-al Dozen Does Patterns on Patterns: Day 1 Flowers on Lattice

Hey there!  In case you hadn't heard, this week's Digit-al Dozen theme is "Patterns on Patterns"...sounds daunting eh?  Needless to say, I have a lot of stamping mixed with other patterns/techniques this week so hopefully I can keep you interested.  For my first time I'm posting something that reminds me of the stencilling techniques that were all the rage in the late 80's/early 90's.  I even remember stencilling the lean-to at the lake lot when I was pretty young.

This started with a white base of OPI Alpine Snow.  I then stamped the lattice pattern from Vivid Lacquer's VL-008 in Mundo de Unas Grey Blue (#35).

On top of the lattice pattern I tried to create what looked like a stencilled flower view with OPI Christmas Gone Plaid, Casino Royale and Vant To Bite My Neck?

The colors I picked make it look more like a vine of grapes than of flowers but that's still a pattern right?

Don't forget to check out below to see what the other ladies came up with for Day 1 of this challenging theme!

'Til next time...
