Sunday Stamping - Things I'm Thankful For

Hey there!  This week's Sunday Stamping theme is "I'm thankful for..."  While Canadian Thanksgiving was last month, this week is American thanksgiving so I'm sure you'll be seeing plenty of related mani's from our American friends.  I have two mani's to share with you today.  Neither look like Thanksgiving in the least but they really do represent things I'm thankful for.  The more serious one is this one.  It might sound silly to people that aren't a part of it themselves but I'm incredibly thankful for nail polish and the community that comes with it.  I started my blog during a pretty lonely period and I have to say it was one of the best things I've ever done for my mental state.  You guys help keep me a lot less sad than I used to be so thank you!

Instead of a plain white base like I usually use, I wanted this mani to have a bit of shine so I used OPI Ski Slope Sweetie as my base.  This is two or three coats.  I already forget even though I just did these on Friday...bad blogger!

For the thankful part, I used the new Create Your Own Bundle Monster plates, specifically BM-619, to make decals.  Since the nail polish bottles looked like OPI bottles to me I filled them with all OPI polishes: Where Did Suzi's Man-go?, Coca-Cola Red, Casino Royale, Can't Find My Czechbook and You Are So Outta Lime.

My second thankful mani is an homage to one of my sisters.  When I asked her what I'm thankful for that I could stamp and she said "me!".  So I did the classic Brilene mani.  Picture Polish Honeydew, China Glaze Glistening Snow Accent, stamped with the chevron from Bundle Monster BM-423.  Seriously, she wears this exact look ALL THE TIME!  To the point that my bottles of these polishes are almost empty.  But I guess she's worth a couple of bottles of nail polish :-P

I also added her initials using MoYou London Scholar -06.  She told me I should write her name but I don't have enough fingers so this will have to do for her.

And here is at least part of my family.  I really am more thankful for my family more than anything else.  Unfortunately my other sister had to get cropped and my niece is missing.  So you'll have to trust me when I say they look as awesome as they are :-)

'Til next time...
